PHOBIA live at MagNet

PHOBIA is one of the few songs I've written so far (and is gonna be part of my album, hopefully to be released very soon!)...it's about someone who's scared of falling in love, but is on the brink of falling into it. So this person asks that "someone" if he/she can find a way into this person's heart. Talk about being a "sigurista" for not wanting to fall for someone who might be gone...but that makes sense somehow, right?

Or maybe, this is just my point of view? Since I wrote this! But yeah, everyone has their moments. And everyone has to go through things that would break them to make them stronger. Lemme know what you think. Listen to the lyrics (or read along!)...

(This video's not taken with a professional cam, so apologies...hopefully, in the future, I get to buy a better cam!)

PHOBIA

I am afraid to love, didn’t wanna take a risk no more

I don’t wanna exhaust all my energy for someone who’ll be gone in the end

Don’t wanna get close to you, ‘coz I am afraid you might go away

Do you have what it takes to uncover my heart?

CHORUS:

Can you melt this heart of steel?

Can you break my heart of stone?

I don’t wanna love again

If I’m gonna be alone in the end

Can you melt this heart of steel?

Can you break this heart of stone?

I don’t wanna love again

If I’ll find myself alone in the end

So broken and burned from the things in the past

(So broken and burnt)

Don’t wanna wait for the time I’ll say at last

(I don’t wanna wait)

This is the reason why

Don’t wanna be by your side

‘Coz of all the fears I hide

By all the pain inside

Don’t wanna get close to you

‘Coz you just might make me blue

Baby, help me let it go

Let it go and start anew

BRIDGE:

I told myself not to fall, no, no, no

Never easily trusting no one at all

Don’t tell me that you’ll stay

If you just might go away

Don’t wanna wait for the time that my heart would break

  1. People tend to seek for assurance, who wants to get hurt in the first place? Well-written. Cheers!
